At Amethyst Chauffeurs, we pride ourselves on delivering a discreet, professional and luxury chauffeur experience for every client. Recently, we had the pleasure of supporting one of the optimum motorsports McLaren race drivers while the team were carrying out testing at Oulton Park Race Circuit in Chester.
For a chauffeur company based in Liverpool, but covering the North West and beyond, this was certainly one of those jobs that reminded us why we love what we do.
Chauffeur Pick-Up from Chester Aviation Centre
The day began with a smooth and timely pick-up from Chester Aviation Centre, where we collected the driver before making our way to Oulton Park Race Circuit for a full day of testing.
As always, punctuality, comfort and discretion were the priority. Whether we are providing executive airport transfers, corporate travel or specialist chauffeur services for motorsport professionals, we understand the importance of reliability.
Once we arrived at Oulton Park, the job involved a wait-and-return service, allowing the driver to focus fully on the day’s testing schedule while we remained on hand and ready for the return journey.
A Behind-the-Scenes Experience at Oulton Park
What made this particular booking especially memorable was the hospitality shown throughout the day.
The driver was an absolute gent and immediately made us feel welcome. He kindly took the time to show us around the circuit and gave us a fascinating insight into the garage operations. From seeing the team hard at work to understanding how everything runs behind the scenes, it was a real privilege to witness such a professional environment up close.
One of the highlights of the day was getting the chance to see both the McLaren GT3 and GT4 race cars in person. Seeing the level of detail, preparation and teamwork involved in motorsport at this level was genuinely impressive.
For anyone passionate about motorsport, Oulton Park is an incredible venue, and it was fantastic to experience the atmosphere during a live testing day.
